COUNSELLING EXPERIENCE

What has my counselling & related work experience been?

 In 2001 I began my Diploma in Counselling training and qualified in 2005. While working towards accreditation I worked as a part time Carers Support Officer with Rethink, working with carers of people with mental illness, in groups as well as one to one. I completed a placement at Number Five Youth Counselling agency in Reading from 2002-2005 as part of my training. While working towards accreditation I did concurrent placements at Link Youth Information in Uxbridge with London Borough of Hillingdon as well as with Place2be, a play therapy agency in a primary school in Willsden Brent.  I started my private practice in the Ruislip Gardens area in 2006, working in a room in a complementary therapy shop in Northwood as well as a church in South Ruislip. I relocated to Coningsby Lincoln in 2012 and relaunched my practice there in 2015.
